The paintings consist of three layers: 

 

- A background based on topographical maps of frozen landscapes.

 

- A middle layer representing a constellation and its boundary.

The celestial overlay reflects a snapshot of time as it passes overhead.

 

-  Foremost is an image of a fading iceberg.
